This is where we will begin the ketogenic eating phase! These weeks are designed to really help your body move from being a sugar-burner to a fat-burner. Here we will do a lot of work to retrain our metabolisms and begin to break up the insulin resistance in our body.
These weeks you will move into a state of nutritional ketosis, except, lucky you! You had a dietitian create this phase for you instead of trying to figure it out for yourself. There is a lot of misinformation out there on what a ketogenic eating plan should look like. It can get kind of overwhelming and confusing. During these weeks I will teach you what ketogenic eating looks like and how to do it.
We use it in the Best You Plan because it is an approach that will help heal the insulin resistance built up on the cells, all while teaching your metabolism to burn fat for energy instead of only glucose sugars. Maybe you find you love how you feel eating ketogenic and you stick with it long-term, or perhaps you try some other methods we will discuss in the Lifestyle Phase.
